Every Vote Can Make A Difference

The United States is known as one of the most powerful democratic countries in the world. Every two years citizens have the opportunity to make a difference by casting their votes in state and national elections. Everyone has the opportunity to have their voices heard, but many young people choose not to.
Young voters in the demographic of 18-24 rarely cast their votes in elections. In the last presidential election only 42% of eligible 18-24 voters participated in the election. That is less than half of the eligible voters. ]
Some excuses that young people use are: "My vote won't make a difference" or "I don't know anything about the candidates." The 18-24 age group makes up about 13% of the United States population....
